Mitsui Chemicals Site Visit

At the start of this semester (26 Aug), Mitsui Chemicals welcomed our students to their phenol plant. We hope that the industrial visit was an informative learning experience for our students. Thank you, MPS and fellow Chemical Engineers! 🙂





Site Visit to Mitsui Phenols Singapore

Missed out on the site visits to ExxonMobil and Petrochemical Corporation Singapore last semester? Fret not, the AIChE NUS Student Chapter is proud to present to you yet another site visit opportunity! This time we are taking you to Mitsui Chemicals‘ renowned phenol plant. The details of the site visit are as follows:

Date of Site Visit:
  • 26 Aug 2015 (Wednesday)
Time of Pickup:
  • 12.30pm at NUS Carpark 2A
Time of Departure from Mitsui:
  • 4.30pm. Drop off at NUS Carpark 2A.
Deposit Collection:
  • 12 and 13 Aug. $10 deposit for attendance confirmation (more details will be sent to you via email upon registration)

As the plant is located on Jurong Island, we would require you to fill up the form to ensure that there won’t be any hiccups at the checkpoint on the day of the visit! (simply click on this URL to register:

Study Abroad in Singapore for Chemical Engineering students from Purdue University

On 25 May 2015, the NUS Department of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering hosted a lunch reception for Chemical Engineering students from Purdue University, who were here in NUS for a study abroad programme. The Purdue Student Chapter is our official AIChE Sister Chapter, and we were also honoured to meet Anna Wagner and other members of their Committee. We hope our friends from Purdue will enjoy their stay in Singapore! 🙂
