The Petrochemical Corporation of Singapore (Private) Limited (PCS) is the pioneer of the petrochemical industry in the region and put on stream in February 1984. PCS is the upstream company for the Singapore Petrochemical Complex on Jurong Island, with major international partners such as Shell, Chevron Philips, Sumitomo Chemicals and Celanese.

The company processes naphtha and liquified petroleum gas feeds from oil refineries and supply high quality ethylene, propylene, acetylene and many other products and utilities to its downstream partners. PCS plants incorporate the latest technologies and is controlled by state-of-the-art process control systems. Complex II, an extension of the Singapore Petrochemical Complex, was commissioned in April 1997 doubling the company’s capacity and making it one of the largest olefins producers of the region.
